Female screw
This is the area where the fixture connects directly with the screw of prosthesis. It has the suitable size according to the screw of connected prosthesis and is produced to maintain the stronger connecting force by the application of specialized processing method. Undergo the cleaning process to remove the remaining foreign substances.
External hex area
This is the area determines the compatibility of the height & diameter of hex with the prosthesis by contacting the inner parts of abutment. External hex diameter is comprised of the various sizes in line with the platform diameter sizes. The height of external hex is commonly 0.7mm
Sandblasted surface area
Undergo the acid pickling process after conducting the sanding with the powder of biochemical substance, Hydroxyapatite(HA) on the surface of existing machined surface fixture. This is the area where the connecting area with the osseous tissue is maximized by expanding the surface area of fixture. It shows the dark grey color.
Cutting edge area
As the self-screw formed area, it has the structure of 4 blades and incomplete thread shaped by the optimally designed taper. It is easy to insert by self-tapping when the cutting effect gets higher and it has the function to hold the residue bone generated during the fixture insertion
Thread area
This is the area where the initial fixation is practically made. The thread shapes of pitch, etc. are determined by the increase of the surface area and the dispersion effect of occlusal force. It has various thread diameters and lengths to select the most suitable size according to the inserting site of fixture, etc. The fixture and components of ExFeel implant system are produced to have tight contacting surfaces between the hexes to minimize the screw loosening condition by the mastication force and to have the precise connection. 3.3mm diameter of the inserting area of ExFeel fixture is compatible with the Branemark cos narrow diameter implant fixture external hex (platform diameter 3.5mm).
